13+ PI EYLESS ENTRY INFORMATION
Order the Keyless Entry Activation file and supply your own fobs (I do not sell fobs). The best fobs to get are OEM from Ford.
KEYLESS ENTRY ACTIVATION FILE ONLY - $35 (via e-mail)
THIS PERTAINS TO ALL 13 AND UP FORD POLICE INTERCEPTOR MODELS
My process enables Keyless Entry as if the vehicle left the assembly line with it. Perhaps your agency forgot to order your PI Sedan or Utility with Keyless Entry or you have picked up a used unit that didn't come with Keyless Entry. You CAN add OEM Keyless Entry, which by the way also sets up the possibility of adding OEM "Perimeter Alarm" and Remote Start options.
Dealer programming is required. EACH KIT IS VIN SPECIFIC AND CAN ONLY BE USED ON ONE VEHICLE.
OEM "STICK ON" KEYPAD ENTRY
Add the Ford "stick on" door Keypad to any 13-19 Police Interceptor with functioning OEM keyless entry. PI models can "remember" up to 4 remotes. The keypad would be considered one of these. For the 13-19 Sedan and 13-15 Utility these can be programmed to the vehicle by the end user. For the 16-18 Utility the keypad must be programmed to the vehicle using dealer IDS software so a dealer visit would be in order.
The part # for this keypad is ES7Z-14A626-A with a suggested retail price of $85 from Ford. I do not sell this item. YOU MUST HAVE FUNCTIONING KEYLESS ENTRY FOR THIS TO WORK.
Each vehicle can be programmed with up to 4 fobs (includes stick on keypad listed below)
FAQ Regarding adding Keyless Entry
Q: My Dealer says the vehicle doesn't have the hardware for keyless entry if it wasn't ordered with it?
A: Your dealer is wrong. ALL 2013 and up Ford Police Interceptor vehicles have everything they need for factory keyless entry. It just needs to be enabled.
Q: Will enabling keyless entry void my warranty?
A: Under law manufacturers can not blindly void an entire vehicle warranty for aftermarket modifications, if this was the case all police vehicles wouldn't have a warranty. Not to mention adding keyless entry is enabling something the vehicle is already equipped with. If something with the Keyless Entry system would fail hardware wise within the vehicle the part should be covered as all modules that control KE also control other things within the vehicle. There is no independent module for keyless entry.
